The weekly rate
Four lengths, one number each.
Each car has one long term weekly rate and every other tier is worked out from it, so the rate on the listing, the rate on the car page and the rate at checkout are always the same number. The figures below are the cheapest cars in the fleet; every car shows its own.

Most hires only ever see the first line. The rest apply only when the thing they describe happens, and each one is stated here so you can check our invoice against this page.

Who can hire
Drivers and documents.
- Ages 21 to 75.
- A full licence. Learner and probationary licences cannot be accepted.
- Overseas licences are welcome. If the licence is not in English, bring an International Driving Permit or a certified English translation as well, plus your passport.
- VicRoads lets you drive on an overseas licence for the first 6 months after you start living in Victoria. Staying longer, you convert it to a Victorian licence, and the hire carries on.
- Proof of address: a recent bill, bank statement or lease with your name and current address.
- Payment by Visa, Mastercard or American Express. The $400 bond is charged at booking, not pre authorised.
Changing your mind
Cancelling and extending.
- 7 or more days before pickup: full refund.
- Between 7 days and 36 hours before pickup: 50% cancellation fee.
- Less than 36 hours before pickup: no refund.
- Card processing surcharges are not refundable.
Extensions are at the same weekly rate: ask at least 48 hours before your return date. Returns are by 5pm on the return date to the branch you collected from, and the return terms are in the terms and the agreement you sign before you drive.
